Jessica and Robert had a gorgeous 1000 Islands Harbor Hotel Wedding in Clayton, NY.

There are not many brides out there who can say their custom wedding dress inspired the designer to add it permanently to their collection for sale. Appropriately named “Mae” after the bride’s middle name; it’s not hard to see why her dress was such a hit!

However, the gown was not the only thing setting trends. Jessica also taught herself calligraphy so that she could design and make her own wedding invitations.

The hotel venue was decorated with gorgeous deep magenta and burgundy floral arrangements paired with touches of ivory and deep greenery. These were made by Collie Collen at Flower-Scout who sources all of their materials from local greenhouses. Oh, and we didn’t forget about the sparkly gold candlesticks and vintage silver accents!

When asked about her wedding, Jessica had the following response:

“I wanted the wedding to feel timeless and romantic And a bit vintage and looking back on it, I wouldn’t have changed a thing. Everyone kept telling me “It’s going to the be the best day ever”. I was hopeful, but at the same time anxious to see how all of the hard work would come together. I did not have a wedding planner, so my husband, my mother and I planned the whole thing. My mom and I worked together on everything from the drapery at ceremony (which my Dad hung up) to the escort card holder (which my dad built, my mom helped envision, and I wrote the escort cards), to the vintage handkerchiefs and tablecloths that my mom found in our lake house from the previous owners. She spent countless hours washing and steaming every one so they would be just perfect for our guests. Plus so many more little creative details she had and we worked together on to help my vision come together.”
