An Elegeant Leopoldskron Castle Wedding

When looking for the place to tie the knot, Justin knew he wanted it to be somewhere he felt was connected to mountains and the great outdoors while Carolyn had envisioned a castle for her wedding day. Both wanted a romantic, yet private ceremony location but also with a touch of fairytale and luxury. Luckily, Austria combines all of these things in the most beautiful way. Carolyn & Justin’s wedding ceremony took place at Leopoldskron Castle on the outskirts of Salzburg, Austria. The 18th century palace with its vast gardens and idyllic lake offers a scenic view of the mountains and boasts an equally stunning interior. They spoke their vows in the castle’s private chapel and took photos in the light-filled halls and salons of the estate. Wanting to avoid an enormous wedding day with hundreds of guests, Carolyn &Justin decided to focus on creating a memorable, deeply romantic day for just the two of them – including the things they both loved the most. A big wish for the couple was to have a meaningful religious wedding ceremony. Like many castles in Europe,the Leopoldskron has their own beautiful chapel directly on site. This allowed for a truly special and still private place for the two to get married. The ceremony and the entire wedding was designed to be a romantic and intimate day, so the couple chose to do it without any music played so as not to distract focus from that special moment. Carolyn & Justin are both foodies and so an amazing meal was an absolute must for them on their wedding day. In the evening, a horse drawn carriage was ready to pickup the newlyweds at their castle. After a romantic drive through the lantern-lit old town center of Salzburg, the couple enjoyed a wedding dinner at one of Salzburg’s best Michelin restaurants.
