We are delving deep into the trenches of fantasy and whimsy with an Aquaman Styled Wedding at Salinas River State Beach in California
Aquaman and Mera get married along the shores of Salinas River State Beach in Monterey County, California. Their wedding day is overflowing with seaside inspiration in every corner and topped off with a few key fantasy moments.
Mera’s seafoam green wedding gown with gold sequin bodice hangs from a wedding arbor that is positively ensconced in hanging greenery. The wedding day arbor was decorated using Dill, Eucalyptus and Sea Kelp. The bride also wore a custom crafted floral crown that was made to mimic the tiara that her character wears in the DC comic books.

The tablescape and place settings are set atop treasure chests and buried into the sand. Shades of sage and seafoam green come together with glass charger plates, satin green napkins, orange dahlias, and sea glass place cards. Eucalyptus and bay leaves were used as elements to lend added texture to the treasure chest table settings. The Atlantis guest table was surrounded by a giant sand circle with aloe plants that were used to reflect the mighty kingdom of the sea. The full-on fantasy superhero celebration was finished off with a three-tier wedding cake. The wedding cake was designed with hand-painted seafoam green brush strokes and accented with bits of gold foil, starfish detail, and deep red seashells amongst small bits of softly rounded sea glass.
