This proposal in the Bali rice fields has raised the bar for proposals. The Bride (Evelyn) let us know how it all went down.
From the Evelyn (The Bride): I met Dan through some mutual friends on a trip to Tahoe about a year ago. We connected instantly and have barely been apart since that trip. When you know, you know right? We travel a lot together and for Spring Break we were so excited to mark Bali off of our bucket list. I have always said that I wish I could carry a photographer around with us to capture our love while we travel, but that’s so unrealistic. Dan surprised me one morning while we were staying in Ubud and said he booked a photographer to follow us around the Rice Terraces for the morning. I was so excited to have some professional photos taken of us, in another country! It was awesome. I had no idea that Stacie (from White Crane Weddings) was really there to take photos of our engagement!We hiked up one of the rice terraces and then Stacie told us to hold hands and walk on the edge of a terrace looking into the distance. haha. We started walking and Dan let go of my hand then before I knew it he was on one knee proposing. Seriously, it was complete movie magic. The perfect man, the perfect location. I could not be more happy to share my future with Dan, and now we have that moment captured forever!”
A note from the photographer: This was such an awesome proposal to photograph! Evelyn and Dan are constantly laughing and down for any adventure. The early morning atmosphere and giggles made these photos turn out to be pretty magical.
