This bohemian styled sunset elopement started off as a concept and was eventually made into a reality by a group of talented wedding vendors from Oregon. The idea was first introduced by makeup artist Laura Evavold, who envisioned a shoot with a Pacific Northwest meets Midwest vibe. She contacted the photographer, Erica Swantek, about collaborating on a shoot together.  As Erica gathered a team of vendors, the concept was developed.

The session was inspired by the colors and textures of the high desert in autumn as well as elements from the midwest. The burnt orange cliffs that rise up above the Deschutes River, the golden rabbit brush in bloom, rusty brown Douglas-fir cones, and the blue of ripe Juniper berries, coupled with pheasant feathers, acorns, and other greenery bring that perfect fall vibe to the table, with a hint of Midwest flair. A private residence with gorgeous acreage above the mighty Deschutes River in Bend was the location for this styled shoot.

For the decor, an amazing tablescape featuring vintage china, gold plated silverware, and blue and red pressed glass vessels adorn a rustic oak table with beautiful high back chairs. Beautiful flowers, greenery, pheasant feathers and candles bring the table to life. A vintage bike with the cutest basket full of more flowers completes the boho look! The group wanted the bride and groom to have a more romantic, boho look, something that fit the theme of a private elopement. The groom’s suit was the perfect blue and was finished with a maroon bow tie and boutonniere. The flower crown the bride wore, along with the amazing bohemian necklace, completed the entire look. The sunset didn’t disappoint that evening and cast a warm golden glow.
