Boho Glam Wedding at Hilton Lake Las Vegas

When you have two people that are equally beautiful inside as they are outside, they are bound to cross paths, fall in love, and get married! Tricia and Brian were always in the same group of friends, but it took some time for them to start dating. Once they did their lives were filled with travel, adventures, their two fur babies, and building businesses and a home.   They set their wedding for an October date because not only were they celebrating their love, but they were also celebrating their 50th birthdays! Their birthdays are only two days apart so what a perfect time to celebrate while all of their friends and family were  in the same room! Octobers in Las Vegas are magical as the weather is perfect.  Tricia knew from the beginning of planning that she wanted a sophisticated Boho wedding with a touch of glam. The boho glam started with her stunning dress from Rue de Seine that had a lacy and creamy macrame look to it. Brian wore a clean and simple grey suit with an exposed neckline for a more fun and lighthearted vibe.   The venue, Hilton Lake Las Vegas was the dreamiest backdrop for the aesthetic and our color palette with shades of brown, copper, blush, mauve, etc. just popped against the existing greenery the grounds offered. Their ceremony took place in the Capella Di Amore Chapel at Hilton Lake Las Vegas is quaint with a Mediterranean feel with wood pews, iron chandeliers and large windows that look out to the lake. The aisle was blanketed in petals and floral arrangements, with them being framed by a circular arch filled with pampas grass and floral. The back of the aisle was equally as beautiful with large floral and pampas filled arrangements that sat on pedestals. Music from a Cellist and their DJ filled the chapel with songs such as Mazzy Star’s “Fade Into You” and “Can’t Help Falling In Love” by Elvis.   After the ceremony, guests were invited into the Florentine Gardens at Hilton Lake Las Vegas for cocktail hour and were greeted to signature cocktails named after Tricia and Brian’s two dogs, Rocket and Dash. They found their seating assignments via a “Birds of a Feather” escort card wall that had the guests name, table number, and a brown spotted feather. The spotted feather also showed up on their place cards that sat of their custom menu cards that had their custom crest on it.   The reception tables spared no detail with beautiful and intentional place settings,  lush centerpieces, and fun gold acrylic chairs. Bistro lights danced above the guests while they dined under the gorgeous Las Vegas sky along with large pampas grass chandeliers.  Following a quick dress change, Tricia and Brian performed a sassy and sexy choreographed first dance to “Earn it” by The Weekend. After dinner a live band, Rogue Radio took the stage for dancing. Guests also were able to rest and relax on the fun vintage boho lounge furniture. When it came time for the cake cutting, guests also serenaded the couple “Happy Birthday” for their special day.  The entire day was filled with love and laughter and it was truly everything Tricia and Brian had wanted!

How did you meet?

We met at a mutual friends wedding a day in between both of our birthdays 14 years ago. We started dating nearly 3 years ago.

He took me to Hawaii and had me hike up to the top of Mount Olympus before proposing. He started singing a Cat Stevens song, and then got down on one knee.

Tell us a little a bit about your wedding (your vision, color, style, and location choices).

We were  aiming for a boho glamorous wedding. Pastels and warm tones. Lots of candles and textures. Pampas grass was added to our arrangements as well as pampas grass chandeliers. Our wedding planner Angelica @angelicaroseevents captured our vision perfectly.

Tell us about your attire choices.

I found my dress through Rue De Seine. The dress was Adara. My dress I changed into after the wedding was from Of Love and Lemons. I also wore a faux fur shoulder wrap by Coach. Brian wore a traditional suit by Hugo Boss, tieless, and with a boutonniere.

What was the most important to the two of you while planning?

Choreographing our wedding dance was really important. We wanted to have a well put together dance to showcase our skills and put on a great show.

What were your favorite parts of the day?

There were so many special moments. Seeing the grounds and the chapel for the first time and seeing our vision brought to life was amazing. Of course saying our vows and finishing our dance perfectly were highlights.

Tell us about your wedding flowers.

Javiar Valentino did our flowers. Glamorous flowers with pampas grass added.I also wore a flower crown after the ceremony.

Tell us about your wedding cake.

It was a beige 3 tier cake with pampas grass decor.

What did you do for favors?

My bridesmaid received Chanel earrings. She loves Chanel! My husband received a Breitling B-50 Pilots watch and he gave me a Chanel bracelet.

Please describe any DIY, handmade, or personal details.

We had our wedding collar with flowers  for fur baby Dash and a bow tie for our fur baby boy Rocket.

Do you have any advice for couples planning their weddings now?

Try to relax and enjoy the process and try to live in the moment as much as you can on your wedding day as it goes by very fast. You also want to make sure that the professionals you hire understand your vision and that you have good communication with them so you get your desired outcome. We were so happy with all the elements of our wedding. It truly was the best day of both of our lives.
