From it’s initial concept, we knew we wanted this day to be over the top with all the focus on a dramatic ball gown and stunning florals – the type of shoot where no detail is spared and every vendor brings their absolute best work to make a collective effort resulting in something truly remarkable. So when we teamed up with Sarah, from Brehant Creations to plan and design this, we knew it was going to be jaw dropping! Sarah has an amazing eye for style and created the color palette that set the tone for the whole shoot.
Little did we know at the time, but Sarah’s classic blue color palette choice would ultimately also be the 2020 Pantone Color of the Year. Shades of this calming hue were meticulously weaved into almost every aspect of the day. The Details
Ask your photographer to capture all the small details like jewelry and invitations within a styled flat lay like the one above.
The invitation suite by Studio Lane was hand-calligraphed to perfection! Navy Blue lettering was set against light blue card-stock and matching white envelopes featured even more hand lettered bliss. Matching blue watercolor accents were added to the place cards. Blue raw silk ribbon accents were added to the flat lays and to the handle of the bouquet. Upstroke Creative provided beautiful vow books in a dusty blue and deep tan. Etoile fine jewelry and Micheal’s Jewelry provided all the sparkle we needed for the day with their amazing pieces. The gorgeous shoes provided by Kailee P were covered in lace and pearls – every bride’s dream come true.
The Venue
When choosing your venue, it’s important to be sure that the style and overall feel matches what you envision for your big day.
Ledgestone Estates is a brand new venue set to open to the public in the coming year as an outdoor event venue and a bed and breakfast. We were thrilled when we were granted access to this breathtaking estate. It exudes style and grace with every level of the estate offering amazing views of the tree covered hillsides surrounding it. The vast grounds provide the perfect setting for a luxurious outdoor New England Wedding.
The Couple
Taylor was the most beautiful bride – her contagious smile and sweet disposition makes her a photographer’s dream! Her gorgeous side-swept hairstyle and romantic makeup was styled by Lauren from Blushing Brides Boston. The custom designed champagne ballgown created by Jaqueline Bridal Kouture featured a long dreamy train, lace appliques, and a stunning open back.
Jean Micheal makes looking this good seem effortless! He was outfitted in a light blue suite and a classic blue vest from Generation Tux and a floral tie from Dazi.
The estate owners had two of the most adorable pups on the property. They were so lovable and made the perfect photo props! – Holy Swoon!
The Decor
If you are looking to make a statement – ask your rental company about draping options. We used draping inside and outside of the venue to help create our look!
Ultra luxe details and accents were a top priority when styling this look. We went with gold candlesticks of varying heights and sizes. Deep blue pillar and taper candles lit the backdrop of every scene. The super-pretty blue runners were provided by Snassy Crafter. Ryan Designs provided us with an amazing cabana with a round crystal chandelier, glass tables, draping, an aubergine chaise and an amazing farm table for our Bride and Groom to enjoy. For an extra special touch, Noteworthy Chocolates provided us with amazing personalized chocolate favors that were dusted with gold. These are perfect for dressing up your place settings or giving them to your guests as a take home treat!
For the florals, we asked Sweet Talk Floral to incorporate pampas grass, handpicked Dahlias from the estate and various other flowers to make a unique floral installation, a matching bouquet and centerpieces. We were also able to use some of the giant Monstera leaves to add an extra element of unique greenery.
Entertainment
No celebration is complete without entertainment and music! The elegant Danielle from Divina Strings was our violinist and filled the entire room with her musical talent. Whether it was inside the estate or on the rooftop, her music turned up the romantic ambiance. Melissa from MAC Photobooth Co brought the fun with her ultra chic gold sequin backdrop. A photobooth is the perfect way to lighten the mood at any type of wedding and as a bonus – your guests get some fun instant shots they can take home.
The Cake
Our heavenly three-tier cake by I Need Sugar Therapy was stunning. Each tier was decorated with white frosting, gold foil and AH-mazing rice paper flowers! The cake stand was placed on a soft blue runner on top of a gold table. It paired perfectly with the fun champagne toast.
