Classic Cape May Wedding

This sweet couple wanted to bring out the elegance of historic Cape May on their special day. They went for a classic look that will inspire you to believe traditional design elements are as amazing as ever.

From the Bride:

The inspiration behind our wedding day was a soft and elegant color palette that could translate between both venues: the beach and the winery. We wanted a uniformed look for our bridal party, while allowing them to all express their own personalities in the different bridesmaid dress styles and hair up-dos, and the mismatched boutonnieres and shoes for the groomsmen. We wanted everyone to be comfortable so they could ( and most importantly) have a great time!

A very large part of the magic created for both our ceremony and the reception was done by Faye and Renee floral and event design (centerpiece arrangements, altar, water beverage display, seating chart mirror decor, etc). My father and I are very crafty too, so there were a lot of DIY touches (social media signs, custom water bottle and wine bottle labels, “shoes here” sign, and the distances to each of the important places in the bride and groom’s lives sign… and of course the donut display!)

We used peonies, lots of green touches, and most importantly, anemones and berries to tie in the groomsmen’s navy suit with the bridesmaids blush dresses. The soft pinks, navy, and greens worked beautifully in both venues!

My father and I created a custom donut display to hold some delicious donuts from Avalon’s Duck Donuts! This was a fun touch to the dessert table inspired by some of the bride and groom’s favorite South New Jersey sweets. Most everything had a personal touch! Custom water bottle labels with fun facts about the couple’s relationship in place of the nutrition label, custom wine labels for the split wine bottles given as thank you favors at the end of the night, a custom Snapchat geofilter and custom Photo Booth logos for guests to bring home as a memento! Instead of a typical guest book, all guests were asked to add one of their photo booth pictures to a custom album and write a note next to it!
