Southern Style Wedding

We are in love with this classic southern wedding in Southeastern North Carolina

Emmy and Bradley knew exactly what they wanted their wedding day to be like. The bride described her theme as Southern Elegance with lots of greenery and DIY elements.

They had a beautiful ceremony at Tabor City Baptist Church in North Carolina. The reception was held at the groom’s family home 5 miles away in South Carolina. Being so close to the state lines it is not uncommon for residents to travel back and forth on any given day and this day was no exception.

The theme was nothing short of magnificent! Hues of marsala and mauve were added in just the right amounts to the décor. For the bride, it was also an emotional day as she missed her father, who suddenly passed two years ago. His memory was honored throughout the day with a brooch and locket that hung from the bride’s bouquet. His bible was placed in its own pew at the front of the church before the start of the ceremony.

Emmy’s dress was a Casablanca Bridal fit and flare with a sweetheart neckline, and embellished lace. It also had a sheer illusion back flecked with lace and a chapel length train. She chose her dress one week after she was engaged, it was a gift from her mother which made it even more special.

At the reception, guests got to witness the couple’s first dance while they enjoyed a traditional Southern meal accompanied by cake and a fully loaded ice cream bar!

Emmy did tell us that a wedding coordinator is a must! She was able to enjoy her day that much more since she had full confidence in her planner.
