Ashley was an absolutely gorgeous bride. Her style and elegance are simply amazing. For their Paris elopement, both she and Aaron wanted something they would love 30 years down the line. Using the city of Paris as their backdrop, Paris Photographer Pierre was able to give them exactly what they wanted. We can’t stop swooning over these amazing photos.
Ashley & Aaron How we first met: We initially met at our best friends’ engagement party – he was a groomsman in the wedding and I was a bridesmaid. Later that evening after the party our group was going out and he offered to drive my car. Within 30 seconds of driving, he turns a corner a bit to sharp and pops my tire on the curb. He apologized profusely and promised to fix it the first thing next morning. We had a blast that evening, held really good conversations effortlessly and I knew I’d found someone super special. Needless to say he paid the cab driver to fix the tire while he assisted he next morning.
Proposal: Aaron planned an entire day incredibly thoughtful activities, he finished the day off with a surprise proposal on the rooftop of our apartment, overlooking the Atlanta skyline AND in front of both my and his family. It was incredibly emotional and a moment I will never forget.
Ashley’s dress: I had my dress custom made by a vendor I found on Etsy, “I Do” Couture, which is based out of Dallas, Texas. I like that I got to literally build my own “dream dress” because that means no one else in the world has the exact same one.
Our advice: I think every bride is different and has a different vision for her perfect day. However, my advice is that less is more. The more components you add to a wedding, the more you have to coordinate thus more stress. Many of my friends who had big weddings say it was all a blur (and are still paying off the wedding tab). While I really enjoyed a glamorous elopement in Paris, France, what I really love is that my husband and I got to focus on the most important thing on our wedding day… Each other. I remember every minute of that day so vividly, and they are the best memories I’ll never ever forget.
