If you are planning a Florence, Italy wedding, you are going to love Belinda & Jack’s magical day at Villa Medicea di Lilliano. This amazing couple from the UK decided that they wanted to tie the knot with a destination wedding at one of the most romantic places on earth.
To begin the festivities and to honor her Chinese heritage, Belinda held a traditional wedding tea ceremony as her guests arrived in Tuscany the evening before. This is a cultural tradition carried out to signify all of the respect and gratitude she has for her parents for all the love and care they have shown her throughout her life.
Later that evening, the sweet British couple joined their lovely guests for a welcome drink on a terrace to enjoy some of the most jaw dropping views of Tuscany. Since they are a food-loving couple, they wanted to keep the focus on serving authentic food and beverages from the region.
On their big day, Belinda looked stunning in her mermaid dress with lavish lace details and a spectacular open back! The bride’s look was glamorous with a soft smokey eye, paired with a romantic low bun and sparkling diamond drop earrings. Her gorgeous bridal bouquet featured white florals and textured greenery. Jack looked handsome in his dark grey suit and textured navy tie and a lovely white rose boutonniere.
The ceremony overlooked the Tuscan Countryside. Romantic dark wood and white ceremony chairs were decorated with a small bouquet of white florals. The rectangular wedding arch was decorated with white florals and greenery. As the couple walked down the aisle once their ceremony was over, their lovely guests were given dry floral petals to toss as confetti at the newly-wedded couple to symbolize good fortune. The most romantic violins were played softly as the couple happily proceeded out of the ceremony.
For the reception, the lavish tablescapes were overflowing with elegant greenery, dreamy lanterns and decorative lemons for a pop of color! Family style dining was the perfect way to enjoy all of the delicious food. An amazing selection of Italian delicacies were spread out in three courses. The antipasti featured bruschetta, cold cuts and cheeses, vegetables and bread. The next course was a selection of savory pastas – calamarata, authentic Italian cheese ravioli, rosemary and bread crumble, ricotta and cheese tortellini, and risotto with crunchy parmesan and pink pepper. The final course consisted of delicious beef tagliata with tomatoes and pesto and Tuscan style eggplant parmesan. For desert, guests were given affogato, an Italian sweet coffee based dessert and wedding cake.
Belinda and Jack are truly made for one another and this destination Florence Italy wedding was an amazing way for the two to celebrate their new life together as one!
