This styled wedding at IL Mercato in New Orleans is an art lovers dream!
IL Mercato located on Magazine Street in New Orleans was built in 1931 and boasts an outdoor fireplace, which you’ll get to see designed with florals! surrounded by a herringbone style brick patio. The ceremony setup for this styled wedding takes place by the outdoor fireplace and is lined with perfectly placed cafe styled folding chairs. The fireplace is designed with oversized clusters of florals including crisp white orchids, birchwood, and beautiful vines of wild greenery!
The color palette for this New Orleans wedding is mostly comprised of soft neutrals, with the groom’s tux and the wedding invitation suite pulling in shades of midnight black for dramatic contrast. Soft neutrals show up in the bridal bouquet and in the brides colorful printed wedding gown!
New Orleans is known for its use of wrought iron in its architecture. When the bride poses for bridal portraits by the gates of IL Mercato, she captures the entire essence of this styled wedding! The back of her watercolor style wedding gown is comprised of two soft lengths of tulle which trail down from behind the straps of the gown, and are loosely tied toward the bottom of the open-backed gown. The beautifully subtle use of color combined with a unique silhouette leaves the bride looking positively ethereal!!
Guest settings were also curated from the soft neutral color palette. Delicate off white china is topped with a menu of the night’s selections, and gold serveware which is bundled and tied together with creamy colored accordion-style napkins.
