This destination wedding at Moon Palace Resort in Cancun Mexico put the focus on the bride and groom’s wedding day, exactly where they wanted it, on their faith, their love for one another, and a celebration with family and friends.
The bride and groom are both very social and throughout the early stages of wedding planning found their guest list growing longer and longer. They both knew that they wanted to spend one of the happiest days of their life together dancing the night away and stealing private intimate moments, as opposed to walking around and greeting a large number of guests. That is when they changed gears from planning their wedding at a popular local venue to a dream destination wedding in Cancun!!
One of the most important aspects to the bride and groom on their wedding day was ensuring that they had a Catholic wedding ceremony. They worked with a destination wedding planner to find the perfect location that could accommodate their faith-based ceremony and the Moon Palace in Cancun had an all-glass chapel set facing the beach. The couple also loved the idea of spending days celebrating with their friends and family in Cancun, as opposed to hours at a local venue.
When it came to wedding day style, the bride found her wedding gown first and then used the gown to set the tone for the rest of the day’s style and attire. The bridal gown is a classic meets modern style and the best representation of what she wanted her day to feel like. The bridesmaids all wore pearl pink gowns and were contrasted by the groomsmen navy blue suits The bride also used details, in the form of small bows to add in a feminine touch. Bows can be found in the bridal shoes, earrings, and on the bridesmaid’s gowns.
The last aspect that the bride and groom wanted to add to their special day? FUN! Their guests traveled a long way to celebrate with them and they wanted to be sure to show them a fun, excited and relaxing vacation!
