Old Hollywood Glamour Wedding

This styled shoot has us swooning big time! The vendor dream team that came together to make this old Hollywood glamour wedding a reality stopped at nothing to bring us the ultimate in old Hollywood wedding inspiration. Alternating between elements of dark and light, they were able to find the perfect balance while showing us that all things are possible when you have a team of winning vendors.

Each photo taken by Michelle Leigh Photography perfectly captures the love between the beautiful couple.  Sparrow Beginnings was the perfect venue offering chic backdrops and old world charm.  Fancy Couches provided amazing Victorian style seating that beautifully ties in with the rest of the decor designed by Grassroots Vintage.

The invitation suite designed by Ashley Layden Studio is simply amazing and further adds to the old Hollywood glam with its art deco design. The navy blue and gold-foiled cake was created by You Need A Cake and the stunning hair & makeup was done by Brushed OKC.

Old Hollywood Glamour Wedding Ideas

In Hollywood’s golden age, the wedding day was seen as a pivotal and glamorous moment. The bride-to-be would be styled with glam hair waves and bold red lips. She would wear couture clothes designed by Dior or Givenchy, accessorized with jewels from Van Cleef & Arpels or Harry Winston.

Many people still see weddings as the ultimate glamourous affair! So if you’re throwing an old Hollywood glam wedding the details of the wedding day must be equally as glamorous.

You can even borrow a few ideas from the movie stars of the era.

  • Rita Hayworth is famed for her grand Hollywood entrance at her wedding to Aly Khan. She wore a couture gown and was utterly breathtaking.
  • Marilyn Monroe looked chic at her wedding to Joe DiMaggio. She changed from a traditional gown into a strapless off-the-shoulder white silk dress.
  • Lady Diana Spencer’s wedding dress was designed by David & Elizabeth Emanuel. The gown featured over 10,000 hand beaded Pearls and Swarovski crystals and a 153-yard veil.
