Anastasiia and Gunther are one of those true power couples. Anastasiia is a professional model, a math genius, a college student, an artist, and a mom. Gunther is a deep thinker and an intellectual. Living in rural Maryland, they call a re-purposed Gothic era church their home. Together, they radiate.
Anastasiia and I have worked together on a number of styled shoots, so naturally when she asked me to shoot her anniversary session, I was over the moon. We ventured into the small resort town of Saint Michaels, MD to celebrate their anniversary at a local ice cream parlor and a picnic on the Chesapeake Bay.
They showed up with a beautiful thrifted picnic set, fresh strawberries, and a bottle of champagne, and I honestly would expect nothing less from them. After we wrapped up shooting, we all sat together on a blanket on the beach, fighting off some serious mosquitos, and whole-heartedly enjoying each other’s company.
