A movie inspired wedding shoot that will literally leave you speechless!
You have never really ugly cried unless you have seen the movie P.S. I love You featuring Gerard Butler (Gerry) and Hillary Swank (Holly). The entire premise of the film is based on a newly married Holly who loses her husband. Because Gerry knew his death was imminent, he took the time to coordinate a healing journey of self discovery that would begin on Holly’s 30th birthday after his death.
Being completely moved and inspired by this gorgeous film, Luxury planner, Alicia C Creative and Photographer, Moose Studio decided to create a shoot of what they imagined Hilary and Gerard’s wedding day was like. Along with the help of over 15 vendors, thousands of florals, and watching the film over and over, this amazing shoot was bought to life.
Throughout the movie, Holly received handwritten letters from her late husband. Which is why beautiful calligraphy and handwritten letters were a central focus of this shoot. Holly’s love for shoe design later in the movie inspired the vendors to reach out to Bella Belle shoes who hand designs and creates each pair.
The color palette of emerald green, burnt orange, mustard, and copper was created after carefully studying photos of Ireland and it’s rolling hills of grass. The burnt orange represents excitement, enthusiasm, and warmth which are some of the many feelings you feel when watching P.S. I Love You.
In the pursuit of making this shoot as authentic as possible, they secured a handmade veil from designer Kinnoir all the way in Ireland. The floral designer used a mixture of sweet peas, roses, and unripe raspberries to represent the copper, mustard, and orange hues, softened by shades of dusty pink to accent the neutral walls of the Marbella Country Club.
If you always wanted a movie inspired wedding, you are going to love everything about this P.S. I Love You shoot.

Some of the magical details that brought this shoot to life were round halo diamond earrings, and halo engagement ring, touches of velvet in deep shades of emerald, mustard and black. Copper piping was used to hang table signs and a stunning handmade welcome sign.
Taking the floral crown look to the next level, the bride wore a breathtaking floral hat filled with voluminous blooms.
Glass orbs with roses were hung form the centerpiece. The ceremony backdrop was a hand written life-size letter that was surrounded by two lush floral installations. The two-tier cake featured copper accents and more of the beautiful calligraphy that could be found throughout the day.
