A modern day fairytale wedding at Saint Clements Castle & Marina in Portland Connecticut.
The bride and groom met at the bakery counter of a local market in the quaint town of Suffield, CT where the bride was working. The groom spotted her at the bakery counter and beelined his way over to strike up a conversation. After several of these brief interactions, a date was made and a proposal at the hot air balloon festival in Stowe Vermont was not too far behind!
Are you dreaming about having your wedding in a castle? A castle wedding is such a magnificent way to fill your wedding day with grandeur while topping it off with a little pomp and circumstance. The bride in this Saint Clements Castle & Marina wedding slipped on a tiara which she purchased at Kleinfeld Bridal and topped off her wedding day look with dramatic upper length white gloves!
This Saint Clements Castle is over 90 sprawling acres in the Connecticut River Valley and boasts two different ballrooms as well as several locations on the grounds to host a garden style ceremony.
Inside the walls of Saint Clements Castle, the bride and groom held their reception in the Waterford Ballroom. The centerpieces on the guest’s table were muted lavender pumpkins, which were a lovely yet regal nod to a modern-day Cinderella wedding. Grand crystal chandeliers lined the ceiling of the Waterford ballroom where guests danced all evening to the smooth sounds of the sax, compliments of DJ Jeff Ladd.
