This sweet couple, Ian and Courtney have been close friends since high school, around the age of 15! They maintained a strong friendship, often even sharing stories with one another about who they were dating until their friendship progressed into dating around the age of 21.
So what is the foundation of their relationship? They take joy together in simple things, like spending time with friends and family, laughing and having fun. They are truly one another’s best friend!
Courtney said that she knew Ian was ‘the one’ over a series of events throughout their almost 8 years of daying. After having tackled many difficult situations that tested their relationship, they always came through each situation together with their bond growing deeper. Ian knew that Courtney was ‘the one’ when his career suffered a major setback that had him ready to give up, he said that Courtney stood by his side through it all and helped push him to go farther. He credits her for becoming the man that he is today.
We have the details on how Ian popped the question and it is such a sweet moment!
Ian told Courtney that they were headed out to meet some friends for lunch by the beach. She threw on a t-shirt and jean shorts, thinking it was going to be a casual afternoon! When they got to the beach, he told Courtney that their friends were running late and suggested that they walk to the pier while they waited. After chatting for a few minutes, Ian told Courtney that he had something to ask her, and that’s when he got down on one knee! Ian even secretly set his aunt in place, just out of sight, to take some photos of the exact moment that he proposed!
Courtney’s engagement ring is a round cut diamond in a halo setting with a split-shank band lined with smaller round diamonds What’s unique about her engagement ring is that it also has a hidden halo on the underside of the halo setting!
