These styled bridal portraits were put together at the end of winter, just as spring began to reignite all of the surrounding natural elements. It’s easy to easy the intersection of the two seasons come together in this shoot!. Soft shades of blue show up in the table linens, the invitation suite, bridal footwear, and even a slate blue backdrop. While the spring elements of the shoot included pastel-shaded florals, an all-white structured wedding cake that emulates the shapes of tossed rose petals, and a custom bridal gown with a sheer bodice and floating ‘leaf’ detail!

The Emerson Event Venue in Kaufman, Texas is located just east of Dallas. It is a customizable venue with wide-open white space and it is an amazing venue if you are looking to embraces bold design elements. The way that event venue was utilized for this shoot, with the pairing of the winter and spring elements, transformed it to modern airy perfection!

Tying together the balance between the two seasons is texture. Adding in soft textures to design and decor elements are the perfect way to give your event that subtle ‘wow’ factor! It can be seen below with the way that the oversized table linen meets the ground in a perfectly formed ‘U’ shape, and again in the table linen with the runner bunched together ever so slightly for a draped effect. Other subtle textures that you will love (and can easily emulate for your own wedding day) include velour bridal shoes, beaded tassel earrings, and asking your floral design to add an extra-long length of soft silk ribbon to your bridal bouquet!
