Brittany and Michele are celebrating their one year wedding anniversary with a photoshoot outside the South Carolina State House!
Brittany and Michele met in college while they were both in relationships with other people. They became quick friends and talked all the time. As time went on they both realized that their friendship had grown into something more and they broke off their previous relationships in order to be with one another.
Brittany proposed to Michele in October of 2015 on a hike to the top of the mountains in Asheville, NC. She gave Michele a little book that she handcrafted which included pictures of the couple throughout the years accompanied by song lyrics to their songs. On the very last page of the book, was a photo of Brittany holding a ring with the lyrics “I have loved you for a thousand years. I’ll love you for a thousand more.” Michele saw the picture and said, “Are you serious?” At that very moment, Brittany pulled out the engagement ring. Michele began to cry and Brittany overcome by emotion mumbled ‘will you marry me’.
Brittany gave Michele a single princess-cut diamond in a Tacori setting. The couple has matching slender style wedding bands. Brittany and Michele said that their matching wedding bands are another way to make them feel even more connected!
After a year of being married both Brittany and Michele’s favorite activities to enjoy together included being active, trying new restaurants, going to the beach, boating, and camping. Their daily life together as a married couple includes doing little things to show the other how they feel so that they continue to fall in love over and over again!
