Styled Shoots Across America Conference
Elegant venues, intoxicating color palettes, dreamy gowns – these are all the hallmarks of a Styled Shoots Across America conference. Photographers and contributing vendors come from all over the country to experience what it’s like first-hand and to also learn from some of the most talented speakers in the industry. Once you get a look at the 2019 conference planned by Heather Benge and captured by Suzanne Lytle Photography, you will quickly see what we mean.
The Look
While the entire SSAA conference featured multiple shoots, this specific look was all about Yellow ochre, antique gold, sage, and ivory elements working together to create a harmonious color palette that will instantly brighten your day. Deep yellow elements were on full display in the florals, within the details of the tablescape and even the bride’s shoes. Ornately decorated furniture added character and a touch of Parisian charm
The Venue
Built as an homage to Château de Vaux-le-Vicomte in Paris, The Olana is the simply breathtaking in every way! The french inspired architecture at every turn will make anyone feel as if they are at a European destination wedding, except – they never left the United States! The large windows alone allow so much beautiful natural light in that every inch of this venue is perfect for capturing stunning portraits.
The Cake
The decadent cake featured dramatic cascading ruffled layers paired with a “stucco” effect giving the entire look a touch of European sweetness. To finish off the style, beautiful florals were added down the sides which matched the florals used throughout the other elements..
The Dress
Is there such a thing too many ruffles? We don’t think so! That’s why we are (to put it mildly) OBSESSED with the amazing gown worn by the bride. This princess-esque ballgown featured large ruffled sleeves and layers upon layers of ruffles from head to toe.
