Sweet Nebraska Wedding

Emilee and Wade are college sweethearts. They met at the University of South Dakota. The couple now resides in Omaha, Nebraska, but returned to the Sioux City area where Emilee grew up for their courtyard ceremony overlooking the Missouri River. Emilee said that wedding planning was a lot of fun. She enjoyed how it allowed her to spend more time with family and she really appreciated all of the love and support. The couple both said they realized how truly blessed they are to have so many loving people in their lives helping with the planning process. Emilee said she she was overjoyed to spend countless hours trolling Pinterest, The Knot and bridal magazines for inspiration on how to create their own special day. On the wedding day, the couple privately exchanged letters to each other before Emilee did a first look with just her bridesmaids and then an official first look with her groom, Wade.

They had several neat details throughout their day. Customized Coke bottles were a cute touch and a paper flower wall hand painted by Wade’s mom for their photo station both added a little something different to their day. The night ended with a lighted luminary path leading to the rivers edge. There the couple stopped for a few last pictures to end their amazing day.  When asked what their favorite part of the entire day was the couple agreed that it was impossible to pinpoint a single moment but both loved that the dance floor was packed all night and seeing everyone enjoying themselves was wonderful. Emilee said getting to celebrate with friends and family from near and far, especially her Grandpa was a huge highlight. She also said, getting to call Wade her husband made her so happy. After 6 years of dating and over a year of planning the celebration of their love was definitely a big success.
