Vibrant Ranch Wedding Inspiration in Sonoma, CA

While in search of the perfect couple to feature in this styled shoot, asking a well-deserving couple was at the top of the list. This beautiful couple had planned to get married this June 20, 2020, however, with the current state of the world, they had to postpone their big day to the fall. In addition, this shoot was supposed to take place back in April and was postponed to June. So we were all eager to get back out there and create together! This wasn’t your typical photoshoot. The moments felt real, raw, and that much more special because of all everyone involved had gone through in the past 3 months. From the first look to the final moments, we soaked up every moment!

The shoot was inspired by intimate weddings, which could very well be the new normal once we are able to jump back into the wedding season. The ceremony was set up to be inviting, casual, and comfortable with poofs, lounges, rugs, and pillows. Within the gorgeous ranch venue, you’d see steer and horses roaming in the background of the geometric arch. In the midst of the shoot, the venue owners brought out their mama donkey and her spunky little 2-month-old baby Lilah for us all to play with which ended up being a total highlight of the day!

It’s amazing to see how vendors came together to create magic and give this experience to two very deserving people who are patiently awaiting their own wedding this fall. Moving forward, we encourage couples to continue planning their weddings and know that even if they’ve had to postpone the big day it will be well worth the wait! Take this extra time to revamp your wedding plans and really make it your own ~ add in personalized details and more fun elements!

A personal touch that was added into the shoot was the \”place card” cookies by Cookies by Jenn on each place setting on the dining table. The names chosen for the place card cookies were carefully curated to honor multiple Save the Date couples who have had to postpone their 2020 weddings due to the coronavirus.

We hope viewers will see this shoot as inspiration to incorporate color, texture, and unique design elements. We used inspiration from beautiful Morocco, sherbet color palettes, and bohemian culture. We also hope it inspires couples to continue planning their weddings and taking advantage of the extra time they have to add in details that will make it that much more special!
