European elopement inspiration filled every corner of this historic Charleston Manor known as the Gadsden house.
The Gadsden House is a grand Federal style Charleston manor, and is celebrated as one of the top historic properties in the Charleston area. It was no surprise that this beautiful manor was the source Inspiration for this elegantly styled elopement. Combining European influence with the local architecture and colors like Ivory and gold was a winning combination. Audrey from Countour’s and Curls wanted to “inspire brides to be unique in their choices.”
Seen throughout the theme are bold floral pieces, unique stationery, romantic hair & makeup and whimsical attire. The interior rooms of the manor featured a stunning chandelier and an inviting fireplace where the ceremony was set up.
The outside was just as enchanting with a wrap around veranda and a brick courtyard which served as a optional reception area. A farmhouse table was set up with ivory runners accented with lighter wooden chargers, sienna lace china, gold flatware and pops of color in the florals and food. The Inside dining area featured soft ivory twist linen with a magnolia charger and plate accented with a trieste gold salad plate and flatware.
In the cocktail room you find soft ivory marian printed linens on the bistro tables and wooden and ivory lounge furniture so that all the guests could enjoy the amazing food! Smoked salmon canapé with créme fraiche, dill and capers, Strawberry + mascarpone with honey, and pistachio crumbs, Prosciutto wrapped asparagus tips with balsamic glaze were all on the menu.
The sweet couple was dressed in elegant, yet whimsical attire. The groom in a formal tuxedo and the bride in a custom gown with flowing sleeves.
