Westbrook Inn Elopement
When Sarah, owner of Brehant Creations Events began planning and designing this styled shoot she wanted to create a chic elopement that was anything but classic, and like all her shoots, this one did not disappoint! Not all elopements have to be at the top of a mountain, or on a beach, but instead, a backyard can be glammed up with luxe flowers, chic vintage designs. After seeing the mood board Sarah put together, Tonya knew that she had to photograph this shoot!
The Westbrook Inn in Connecticut is a quaint Bed and Breakfast with perfectly manicured grounds and a beautiful river view that hosts small events on-site. It’s So Ranunculus, a talented floral designer, brought all the luxurious flowers. The decor was dripping in peonies, ranunculus’, and garden roses. Everything was bold and vibrant while still giving off that romantic vibe! The wooden arbor with fabric draped softly by EZ-Occassions was adorned in muted florals to let the backdrop of the Westbrook Inn’s stunning riverside location stand out. Nontraditional installations surrounded the candy pink Bel Air that had a plethora of florals including alliums!
Pencil and Ink designed soft, chic and glam handmade invitation suites with deckled edges to go perfectly with the rest of the design, specifically on the sweetheart table. A custom menu showcased that elopements and micro weddings can still have a caterer and a stunning sweetheart table for two. Petals and Plates vintage tablewares were perfectly styled and placed on top of the white sweetheart table. Last but not least, our models were stunning, with hair styled by Virginia of Resurge Beauty Bar and wearing Katie Bartels handmade earrings. Sarah designed a comfortable lounge that sat beside the sweetheart table, using vintage, reclaimed furniture from Over AndOver and the Westbrook Inn. The lounge was surrounded by flowers, cake and cookies from Quiet Corner Cookies and a perfectly matching, oversized sign with a Beatles lyrics saying “The sun is up the sky is blue it’s beautiful and so are you,” made by Nara of Soul Crafted Letter.
